NMP Gold for Older People in Care Homes

NMP Gold, Nutmeg's bespoke program for care homes, was one of the first menu-planning systems the company developed and is now a market leader. Designed for older people and people with dementia in residential and nursing homes NMP Gold includes a database of more than 1,900 recipes designed and analysed by qualified dietitians. All recipes reflect the nutritional requirements of this age group whilst ensuring they can be served with the variety and 'treats' that they enjoy.

Our recipe analysis module is built into the full suite of menu planning programs and allows you to analyse your own recipes using the McCance and Widdowson food tables. Alternatively you can send us your recipes to analyse for you through our recipe analysis service.

Included with program is a wealth of information and tips about the different needs of older people, in particular those with dementia and eating difficulties. The database of recipes have been flagged to highlight those that are suitable for soft diets (stage D and E) in accordance with the Dysphagia Diet and Food Texture descriptors, endorsed by the British Dietetic Association.

Ideal for catering professionals, menus can be planned with any nutritional imbalances identified and remedies suggested.
